LEESBURG — First National Bank has announced its expansion into the Leesburg market. The bank will have a full-service location open later this summer. The office will be located at 1559 U.S. Highway 19 South in Leesburg.
“First National Bank has had banking relationships in the Leesburg area for years," Brad Barber, the bank CEO and a native of Leesburg, said. "We believe the market area is primed for a new community bank. The First National Bank office will provide our customers and the community local bankers who can make local decisions.
"Personally, I’m excited for our new team of bankers and feel a real sense of gratitude to have the opportunity and privilege to serve the community where I spent so many years. We were able to find the perfect person to lead this market. Julie Hanner joins our team with more than 20 years of banking experience. She has a heart for community banking and the leadership skills we desired.”
Hanner earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Jacksonville State University. She is also a 2014 graduate of The Georgia Banking School. She is involved with numerous community organizations, having previously served on the Terrell County Chamber of Commerce, and currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Flint River Habitat for Humanity.
Hanner dedicates her time to various community initiatives, volunteering with the Lee County Challenger League, Night to Shine, Wreaths Across America, and the Albany COMBOS Marathon. Her passion for service extends to her involvement at Grace City Church. She most recently served as the market president for Georgia Community Bank in Albany.
"I am incredibly excited to be part of the First National Bank team and building a presence in the Lee County market," Hanner said.
