First National Bank is proud to announce the recent promotion of Heather Ramer to Banking Officer and BSA Officer. Heather joined First National Bank in 2024 with over 13 years of banking experience.

In her role, Heather leads one of the most critical functions within the bank. As the BSA Officer, she spearheads the first line of defense in detecting and preventing fraud, identifying bad actors, and protecting our customers—especially vulnerable seniors—from financial harm. Her commitment to safeguarding the community and strengthening the bank’s fraud-prevention efforts has made her an invaluable asset to the organization.

She is also a Certified Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Specialist (CACTS), further demonstrating her commitment to professional excellence and strengthened expertise in financial crime compliance.

A Bainbridge native, Heather graduated from Bainbridge High School before earning a softball scholarship to Darton College in Albany. She continued her collegiate softball career at the University of West Georgia, competing at the NCAA Division II level. Heather later completed her business associate’s degree at Bainbridge College—now ABAC Bainbridge—in 2011.

Heather and her husband, Allen, have three children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and playing coed softball.

“Heather has been an incredible team member and has elevated our risk management programs to the next level,” said Beth Hamilton, Director of Compliance. “Her passion for doing things the right way and her willingness to go above and beyond make her truly deserving of this promotion. We are excited to see her continue to grow and excel in her new role.”
