First National Bank of Moultrie Announces Board of Directors

Moultrie, Georgia, April 29, 2022 – First National Bank of Moultrie announces its Board of Directors for Moultrie. Joining the Moultrie Board of Directors are Cecil Barber, David Hart, Roy Reeves, Dr. Kirby Smith, Mary Ann Smith, Becca Turner and Mary Beth Watson. “Our newest Board members embody the spirit of community and bring talent, expertise, and energy to the table. We are very fortunate to have them on our team as we continue to grow and thrive in Moultrie, “ said Brad E. Barber, President & CEO.

Cecil Barber is a Moultrie native, graduating from CCHS in 1983 and from Georgia Tech with a degree in Civil Engineering. He returned to Moultrie in 1995 and is the third-generation owner of the family business, Barber Contracting Company. He has served as City Councilman since 1997. Cecil served on the Southwest Georgia Bank Board from 1999 to 2020, acting as vice-chair from 2017 to 2020. Cecil and his wife, Celina, have two daughters and are members of Trinity Baptist Church.

A Moultrie native, David Hart graduated from CCHS in 1985. He continued his education at ABAC and the University of Georgia, where he earned a degree in Real Estate. David started his career in real estate in 1989 and is currently the President & CEO of Rowell Auctions, headquartered in Moultrie. In 2015, David was inducted into the Georgia Auctioneers Hall of Fame. David and his wife, Kelly, have two children and are members of First Baptist Church.

Roy Reeves is a Moultrie native, graduating from Moultrie High School in 1977 and from the University of Georgia in 1981 with a degree in Business Administration. He returned to Moultrie in 1984 to work in the family businesses, Kelly Reeves Furniture and Reeves Properties. He was elected to the Board of Education from 1995 to 2014, serving as Chairman for five of those years. Roy served on the Southwest Georgia Bank Board of Directors from 1991 to 2020, acting as Chairman from 2017 to 2020. Roy and his wife, Cheryle, have three children, three grandchildren, and are members of Heritage Church.

Becca Turner is a 1997 graduate of Bainbridge High School, and she earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Georgia. After working for over 20 years in PR and marketing, Becca co-founded Oak + Willow Creatives, which is a PR and Marketing firm headquartered in Moultrie. Becca and her husband, Richie have called Moultrie home for over twenty years. They have two children and attend Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Dr. Kirby Smith moved to Moultrie in 1995 to practice medicine. In 2015, Dr. Smith became the Program Director for Georgia South Family Residency Program with Colquitt Regional Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and his medical degree from the Southeastern University of Health Sciences/COM. He and his wife, Rhonda, have two children, three grandchildren, and are members of Heritage Church.

Mary Ann Smith is a long-time resident of Moultrie, graduating from Moultrie High School in 1975 and Valdosta State University with undergraduate and master's degrees in Education. She was an educator for over 28 years. Since 2012, she has owned and operated Cranfords Jewelry Store with her husband Jack. They have been blessed with three children, five grandchildren, and are members of First Baptist Church.

Mary Beth Watson is a Moultrie native, graduating from CCHS in 1993 and the University of Georgia with undergraduate and graduate degrees. She has worked for three years in public education and ten years in the Technical College System. She worked for five years with the Sunbelt Ag Expo. She has been elected to the Board of Education for ten years, serving four years as the Chairperson. Mary Beth and her husband, James, have one child and are members of First Baptist Church.
